Still Bay Point is the main right-hander at Stilbaai, wrapping around the Morris Point headland just east of the harbour on the Southern Cape coast. It is a grinding right point with a classic mid-break section and, on the bigger days, a deep and thick outside section that ledges over the reef. Rides run 50 to 150 meters normally and stretch well past 200 on a proper winter swell. It starts working around a meter and holds four meters and more, but it is powerful and ledgey rather than forgiving, and a strong rip pushes down the rocks when it is big. Weekdays are usually empty; summer weekends are the only time it gets busy.

The Still Bay Point profile favors mid to high tide. Compare this preference with the forecast tide and local conditions before choosing a session.
The Still Bay Point profile uses wind from W (270°) as its preferred direction, with an offshore range of 202° to 340°. Wind speed matters too: light winds outside that range can still produce surfable conditions, while strong offshore winds can make takeoffs difficult.
The Still Bay Point scoring profile favors swell from SSW (157° to 240°), a swell-height range of 1m to 4m, and a reference period of 14s. These are model inputs, not guaranteed breaking-wave heights or a promise that the surf will suit every ability.
