Inner Pool is the mellower inside peak of the Mossel Bay Point setup, a right-hand reef that breaks off the rocks in a small inlet next to Outer Pool. It tends to be slower and mushier than its big brother, but it walls up nicely on its day and often has rideable waves when Outer Pool is flat. Wannasurf calls it a regional classic, very consistent and open to all surfers, which makes it the sensible first paddle-out at the Point.
