Cathedral Point is the big-wave outer reef of Imsouane, breaking well outside the famous bay when serious NW swells arrive. When it's on, the wave produces powerful, hollow barrels that can reach 20 feet, dwarfing the mellow longboard waves inside the bay. The name comes from the cathedral-like rock formations on the point. This is expert territory only.

The Cathedral Point profile favors mid tide, ideally between 0.5m and 1.5m on the local tide chart. Compare this preference with the forecast tide and local conditions before choosing a session.
The Cathedral Point profile uses wind from ESE (110°) as its preferred direction, with an offshore range of 80° to 140°. Wind speed matters too: light winds outside that range can still produce surfable conditions, while strong offshore winds can make takeoffs difficult.
The Cathedral Point scoring profile favors swell from NW (290° to 340°), a swell-height range of 1.8m to 4.5m, and a reference period of 16s. These are model inputs, not guaranteed breaking-wave heights or a promise that the surf will suit every ability.
