Impossibles earned its name because it's usually too fast to make—the wave races down a shallow reef so quickly that most sections close out before you can reach them. But with offshore wind holding the lip open, Impossibles can link up into one of Bali's longest rides, running down toward Bingin. The wave requires precise conditions and committed surfing. When it connects, it's one of Bali's greatest achievements.
