Punta Mango is El Salvador's heavier Wild East right - a hollow point over boulders/cobblestones that needs a solid S-SW swell before it breaks properly off the rocks. North wind and incoming mid-to-high tide are the safest quality window. It is less forgiving and less consistent than Las Flores, but when the swell is big enough it offers one of the country's best barrel-focused right points.
