Black Rock (also known as Aussie Pipe) is a hollow left-hand reef break at Wreck Bay in Jervis Bay—Australia's first Aboriginal surfing reserve. The wave breaks over a shallow rock shelf and produces tube rides that rival anything on the east coast. Located within the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community, access is on Aboriginal land, and visitors must respect traditional owners and their protocols. The break has a loyal local crew and a rich cultural history, making it one of the most culturally significant surf spots in Australia.

The Black Rock profile favors mid tide, ideally between 0.4m and 1.5m on the local tide chart. Compare this preference with the forecast tide and local conditions before choosing a session.
The Black Rock profile uses wind from NNE (30°) as its preferred direction, with an offshore range of 340° to 70°. Wind speed matters too: light winds outside that range can still produce surfable conditions, while strong offshore winds can make takeoffs difficult.
The Black Rock scoring profile favors swell from S (161° to 195°), a swell-height range of 0.5m to 2.4m, and a reference period of 12s. These are model inputs, not guaranteed breaking-wave heights or a promise that the surf will suit every ability.
