Coxs Bazar

Chittagong Division, Bangladesh
🌀Strong rips👥Crowded

Cox's Bazar claims the remarkable distinction of being the world's longest natural sandy beach—120 kilometers of unbroken coastline stretching along Bangladesh's Bay of Bengal shore. The Bangladesh Surf Club has been steadily introducing the sport to a country with virtually no surfing tradition, working with local youth and building community around the waves. The surf is gentle and beginner-friendly, the crowds (on the beach, not in the water) are immense, and the experience of surfing in Bangladesh is unlike anywhere else. A genuinely pioneering scene in an unexpected place.
