Greenmount is the picturesque headland break at the heart of Coolangatta's surfing world, forming a key link in the legendary Superbank system. When E-SE swells push sand along the coast, waves can connect from Rainbow Bay through Greenmount and down to Snapper Rocks, creating some of the longest rides in Australia. Even without the full Superbank connection, Greenmount delivers fun, peeling right-handers that wrap around the headland. The views from the hill are iconic, and the surrounding cafes and parks make it the social heart of Gold Coast surfing.
