Mon Repos

Bundaberg, Australia
🌀Strong rips

Mon Repos is a famous conservation beach near Bundaberg, known worldwide as one of Australia's most important turtle nesting sites. Between November and March, loggerhead and green turtles come ashore to lay eggs, and visitors can join ranger-led tours to witness the phenomenon. Outside of nesting season closures, Mon Repos also offers quality beach break surfing when E swells from cyclones and tropical lows wrap around the coast. The waves are mellow and beginner-friendly, with warm water year-round. Bundaberg Rum distillery is nearby, adding local flavour to your surf trip.
