Nias

Lagundri Bay, Sumatra, Indonesia
⚠️Shallow🪸Sharp reef

Nias is one of the most perfect right-hand point breaks on Earth—a mechanical barrel machine in Lagundri Bay, off the coast of Sumatra. The surrounding hills funnel offshore winds into the bay, creating glass-like conditions that allow the wave to run for 200+ meters of spiraling perfection. The 2005 earthquake actually improved the wave by lifting the reef, making it even more hollow. This is Indonesia's answer to J-Bay, and many argue it's superior.
