Walo Hiu is the most extreme left on Nias, producing barrel rides up to 10 seconds long in one of the most remote settings on the island. Accessing the wave requires a 30-minute jungle walk through dense tropical forest, adding to the adventure and ensuring virtually no crowds. The wave handles enormous swells and delivers world-class tube rides for expert surfers willing to earn them.
