Wewak Point

Wewak Point is the gateway to the East Sepik Province surf zone—a left-hand reef break on Papua New Guinea's north coast that picks up northwest monsoon swells during the wet season. While consistency is low compared to Kavieng, when the right swell arrives the reef lights up with quality lefts over shallow coral. The real appeal is the broader Wewak area, which hides several other breaks including Little Bali (a powerful left with long walls) and Peanuts (fast and hollow). With direct flights from Port Moresby and basic town infrastructure, Wewak offers the most accessible entry point to one of PNG's least-explored surf regions.
