Waitpinga Beach

Waitpinga Beach is a long, exposed stretch of sand on the Fleurieu Peninsula that receives the full brunt of Southern Ocean swells. The beach offers multiple peaks spread along its length, meaning you can often find an empty section even when other spots are crowded. The waves here are powerful and unforgiving—this is not a beginner spot. When solid S-SW swells hit, Waitpinga lights up with heavy barrels and long walls.
