Safi Le Jardin is one of the most feared waves in Morocco—a heavy, slabbing right that breaks over a shallow reef just outside Safi harbor. When massive WNW swells arrive, usually only a few times per year, the wave produces thick, grinding barrels that hold well overhead and beyond. The takeoff is steep, the bottom shallow, and the consequences severe. This is a wave for experts who have earned their stripes elsewhere.
