Niyodo Rivermouth is Shikoku's heavy-water gem, a challenging rivermouth break that features fast, powerful right-handers when the sandbanks set up properly. The Niyodo River is famous for having some of Japan's clearest water, and when solid typhoon swells arrive, the rivermouth produces world-class cylinders. Smaller swells mellow it out for longboarding in summer, but when it's pumping, this is serious wave riding.
