Laje de Jaguaruna

Jaguaruna, SC, Brazil
😮‍💨Hold-downs🪨Rocks🏝️Remote⚠️Shallow

Laje de Jaguaruna is Brazil's answer to Nazaré, a massive offshore slab that produces some of the biggest waves in the Southern Hemisphere when giant Antarctic swells march up the coast. The wave breaks over a shallow rock shelf about 2km offshore, creating towering walls of water that have exceeded 15 meters. This is strictly tow-in territory for the most experienced big wave surfers, with jet ski support essential. The spot gained international recognition when Brazilian chargers began pushing the limits here, culminating in a 14.82m ride in 2025.
