Jake's Point is Kalbarri's crown jewel—a world-class left-hand point break that peels over a rocky shelf with machine-like precision when SW groundswells hit the mid-west coast. Designated a National Surfing Reserve, the wave offers long, walling lefts with barrel sections that can run for 300 metres on quality days. Located just 3km south of the small fishing town of Kalbarri, Jake's sits at the mouth of the Murchison River gorge, surrounded by dramatic red cliffs. The break handles size well but can be dangerous when the swell gets serious.
