The Right

Near Walpole/Denmark, Australia (WA)
🪸Sharp reef

The Right is Western Australia's most terrifying wave—a tow-in only slab that has never been successfully paddle surfed due to its speed, power, and the hideous consequences of failure. Located in a secret spot near Walpole/Denmark, the wave is amplified by the Albany Canyon and produces mutant, thick-lipped barrels over extremely shallow reef. The wave breaks maybe 5 days per year. The exact location is closely guarded, and the footage that emerges shows some of the most challenging waves ever ridden.
